Ranger Global Holdings LLC is named after the Continental Navy’s sloop-of-war, U.S.S. Ranger which was commanded by Admiral John Paul Jones, a naval hero of the American Revolutionary War. Admiral Jones used unconventional strategy and tactics to defeat a formidable opponent.  ​  Painted by Edward Moran in 1898, First Recognition of the American Flag by a Foreign Government, depicts the U.S.S. Ranger, commanded by Captain John Paul Jones, receiving the salute of the French fleet at Quiberon Bay, France, on February 14, 1778.
